These are Alma's babies. She puts them to sleep and bestows them with gifts while they are napping. She is very systematic about it.
At night, Alma puts her little dolls to sleep in her dollhouse, including a sheep and an owl. It's hard to tell in the photo, but she has improvised beds for each one of them, with pillows or blankets. After they are lying down she turns off the light and closes the doors. It can sometimes take twenty minutes to complete the ritual.
