Let me explain. We bought a house! Yay! We are moving in a few weeks. It has some magical features including a pool and a hen house. The previous owners had twelve chickens (city limit is four...the neighbors weren't so into it). Alma calls chickens and roosters "bah-bahdinos" -- her version of cockadoodledoo. So she has named our house the "no bah-bahdino" house, because there currently no chickens on the property. She says that Daddy wants chickens (true), but we will have to wait. She can say so many things now, it's unbelievable. She tells short stories, sing songs, quotes people and generally entertains herself and us. Her grammar blows me away (past, present, future, negation). But I digress.
Today was the first time we were at the house as a family enjoying ourselves. Alma and I swam together. Daddy got into the Zen of Pool Maintenance. And we enjoyed the new grass that is finally there after all the concrete was taken out (another story that Alma tells). "Take concrete out. Put plants in. More trees!" It felt like the first of so many days in our house, the place where we will, God Willing, raise our family. We feel so blessed.

Finally, grass!
