Sailing with Shireen

Sohrob's sister Shireen sailed into town from Vancouver this weekend on her 53' boat and crew of friends.  We were blessed with good weather for a morning cruise with the kids.  Follow their epic journey here:  http://sailpurusha.com/

Play Your Instruments

This is Isaiah listening to his favorite album, "Play Your Instruments and Make a Pretty Sound" by Ella Jenkins. In this song, she introduces the instruments and what they sound like. When the drums start, Isaiah lights up and starts his rhythmic stomping dance. Then he makes he way over to his mini piano and so on. He requests this album day and night, and I have many videos of his little routine. Here is one of them:

School Days

We are blessed this year to have a short walk to school.  We take a fun short cut through our back yard which involves scaling a fence.  It's a little adventure every time we go.

First we pass through the jungle.

And then over the fence.  Our cat Magusto follows us almost all the way to school much to my children's delight.

Still following...

Backpacks!

Very helpful to have Daddy walk with us.  So grateful for the short distances between our home, his work and their school this year.

Snack break w/Daddy on our hike.  I love the autumnal light.

"Butterfly"

Alma felting.  We made little woolen mice for the cats to play with
Isaiah building.

Alma fashioned roller skates from lego cars and yarn.  She can actually get around on them.

The kids put a fitted crib sheet over their tree house to make a "cloud."
Cruising on her bike with her new basket.

Thanks Zach and Suzan!

Friends on a Mission

For those of you not in the know, letterboxing is an intriguing pastime combining navigational skills and rubber stamp artistry in a charming "treasure hunt" style outdoor quest.

First box found.
Second box!

Helpful tools : )

Very serious business.

The last box was hidden in the rosemary bush.
We got it!  Thanks, snail!
